Celebrating Over A Decade Of Service!
Community donations have helped over 26,400 men, women, and children since inception. The campaigns are donation drives, which provide homeless and transitional shelters with the necessities for individuals and families. The Preston Mitchum, Jr. Foundation is committed to encouraging others to help people in need. There are two yearly drives - a Back-to-School Drive from July through August to collect school supplies, and another drive for the Holiday season from November through December. With the help of our partners, both annual drives are supported throughout the state.
Career Awareness Project
The PMJ Foundation's Career Awareness Project (CAP) is making a difference by inspiring young people! CAP is an after-school program providing Baltimore City and County school students with access to an array of potential career opportunities and educational pathways that may otherwise be unavailable. The program also offers vital tools that make a difference in their current and future lives. Since the program began in 2006, we have proudly served over 500 students in fifth grade and middle school. With your support, CAP will continue mentoring and providing opportunities to these students as well as expand our efforts to include high school students.
Sponsored schools will offer the CAP program to our students beginning at the end of September. Again this year, it is exciting to present this invaluable service to community children with the help of sponsors and volunteers. We extend an invitation for professionals to attend a program, give insight and guide our youth. We know you will be hooked once you see the impact the program has on students. Come out, meet our staff and children and witness your donations at work. When more students are exposed to potential career paths, the more we are able to present possibilities for brighter futures.
Please help us to fund a Career Awareness Project program at a local school and donate today. It just takes you to make a difference. Thank you!
